Our Commitments

Our strong commitment to truly holistic healthcare through gentle, respectful products means we are keenly aware of the importance of all endeavors to preserve our ecosystem. For over 90 years, the men and women of our company have served public health worldwide with passion and a commitment to excellence. Boiron group, which remains majority-owned by its founding family, has preserved both its independence and its people-centered values and fully assumes its responsibilities and commitments.
The fact that BOIRON has been quoted on the Gaïa Index for several years is a reflection of the quality of our CSR policy. Boiron is first and foremost a company dedicated to serving health and well-being through its production processes, the inherent nature of homeopathic products, and respectful, inclusive management of human resources.

Our Commitment to the Environment

Boiron Group has a strong sense of obligation to respect the environment. The preparation of our products has a limited impact on the environment. The main effects derive from extracting raw materials (continuity of species gathered), water pollution (mainly organic and biodegradable) and waste. As a counterbalance, Boiron promotes re-supplying wild or organically-farmed plants when possible. This sequentially improves the quality of raw materials used. Additionally, Boiron works with botanist-harvesters well-versed in diagnosing the land and employing harvesting strategies to anticipate continuity of supplies for the future.

Our Commitment to Our Products

Unlike other pharmaceutical laboratories, Boiron produces its own active ingredients (plant-based mother tinctures with plants mainly sourced in France) as well as its main excipients, to increase quality and enhance traceability. Furthermore, Boiron has pharmaceutical sites throughout France which prepare and distribute medicines to dispensaries on a daily basis. Our intentional policy of maintaining production in France also involved the extension of the main production site in Messimy and the creation of a logistics platform in Les Olmes.

Wherever possible, Boiron uses local companies and service providers as well as working with local farmers for the Messimy and Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon company canteens.

Boiron products are subject to the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) of pharmaceuticals and local regulations related to obtaining marketing authorizations or the registrations of homeopathic products, which leads to a high level of internal and external controls.

In addition, the pharmacovigilance processes in place within Boiron leads to the monitoring and declaration of any adverse side effects. Boiron provides a dedicated service team to pharmaceutical and medical information requests from healthcare professionals and customers.
